Galleria Mall Goes Tobacco Free Today

The Walden Galleria Mall is now a tobacco free property.  Beginning today, the Galleria is outlawing use of any tobacco products on mall property.

The tobacco ban applies to use both inside the mall and outside, in fact anywhere on mall property.  That includes areas outside of restaurants and the parking lot.

A Galleria spokesperson tells WIVB the new rules prohibit all forms of smoking, including electronic cigarettes. (In fact, a kiosk that sells the e-cigarettes at the mall will have its lease terminated.)

The ban will not only apply to shoppers and mall workers,  but also delivery people, contractors and construction workers on Galleria property.
