Western New Yorkers in need of care for cardiac, stroke or vascular diseases now have a new state-of-the-art facility to count on.  The new Gates Vascular Institute begins welcoming patients this week! 

Gates Vascular Institute (GVI)  is home to top researchers, surgeons and phycsicians that will work with clinicians devoted to the study, treament and prevention of cardiac, stroke and vascular diseases.  The Kaleida Health facility will be a hub for cardiac surgery, stroke care and vascular services.

"These clinicians are uniquely positioned to provide patient care in a way never before seen in Western New York...  Physicians will work side by side with their colleagues and researchers in these three disciplines to deliver state-of-the-art care and produce major breakthroughs on the cause and treatments of cardiac, stroke and vascular disease."

The Gates Vascular Institute is located next to the Buffalo General Medical Center.  "GVI" will also be home to staff members from the emergency department at Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital which is closing this week.
