If it’s Valentine’s Day and there is no chocolate around, then what’s even the point, right?
We’re one week away from the big day, and while it’s perhaps become a bit of a cliché that you should be showering your love with chocolate, let’s be honest here: Sometimes clichés are often created with good reason. And this is one of them.
The Buffalo-Niagara region is chock full of chocolatiers, so check them out and get something sweet for your sweetie this Valentine’s Day!

Suggestion: Ditch the assorted and go with a box of one of Alethea’s many specialities, such as sponge candy, handmade truffles, pecan “purtles”, cherry cordials, butter creams, chocolate raspberries and crunchy chocolate dipped nuts.

Suggestion: From February 11 to February 14, Antoinette’s is having a special on chocolate-covered strawberries dipped in both white and dark chocolate. If this doesn’t tickle your fancy, the shop offers plenty of bars, boxes and baskets for you to choose from.

Suggestion: Oh Pour L’Amour has pretty much anything you could ever want – and with a Parisian twist. Artisan truffles, molded chocolates, macaroons, chocolate dipped fruit – just to name a few. Oh Pour L’Amour offers one-fourth, one-half and one pound assortments, but if you want to go really big, go for a gift basket.
