Girls Find Great Role Models in U.S. Women’s National Lacrosse Team
My daughter, Jenna, began playing lacrosse for the Lady Monsters in Lancaster when she was about nine-years-old. She has become addicted to the sport, taking every opportunity possible to play. Jenna joined a few friends for a clinic yesterday with the U.S. Women's National Lacrosse team in Hamburg. It was "awesome!"
Jenna hit the field with dozens of other lacrosse players for the afternoon clinic which was followed by a scrimmage between Team USA and some local lacrosse players and coaches. She described the experience as "the most fun" she's ever had at a clinic.
The team's visit was aimed at passing on their love for the game as well as raising money to compete in the World Cup. This was their final scrimmage in the U.S. before heading off to Canada to play in the 2012 North American Challenge Cup.
