A Grand island man allegedly scammed three women out of over $300,000. How did he allegedly do it?

According to the Erie County Sheriff's Office, the suspect met the alleged victim, a Connecticut woman, online in 2009 and during a fake courtship convinced her to send him $198,000, money to buy a house in WNY, $700/month for a mortgage payment for the house (which did NOT exist), money for his retail car business, money for clothes, and money for airfare.

Apparently there were two other victims as well, including a WNY woman. The man was arrested on felony fraud and larceny charges on August 23. According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspect created multiple fake online profiles with aliases inorder to meet women and defraud them.
