Halloween Hospitality: Dracula’s Sleepover
In what has got to be one of the coolest (and spookiest) promotions ever, 2 lucky winners will spend the night in Dracula's Castle on Halloween night courtesy of Airbnb. I don't mean some knock-off wanna be castle, I mean Dracula's actual castle.
Located in Romania, Dracula's home is actually named Bran Castle. Even though Dracula is technically a fictional character (based loosely on 15th Century's Vlad the Impaler who owned the castle) it still has to make for a cool overnight. The castle is thousands of years old and the history is violent and bloody.
As if that wasn't enough of a prize, the winners get to sleep in coffins! Now that is a little extreme for me, I don't think I want to spend the night there or sleep in a coffin. I'm more of a bed in a modern home kind of guy. Although, if it gives me a full nights sleep without the kids waking me up then maybe I can be persuaded.
How do you win such a prize you ask? All you have to do is tell Airbnb what you would say if you ever met Dracula. Something like, 'That's going to leave a mark', or 'Dude, you need to get some sun!' Seems easy enough!
End of the day, this promotion is not for me. I would love to visit the castle and hear about the history, but I don't think I could spend the night in a coffin. I do think it is a very cool idea and will make a lifetime memory for the winners...or if they are really lucky, several lifetimes...because they got bit by Dracula...get it? Now they are around forever...forget it. Good luck to all that enter.
