"Excuse me, kids, but is this YOUR neighborhood?"

This morning, I put the question out, "Where's the best neighborhood in WNY to trick-or-treat?"  Innocent enough, right?

Well, when Dave Universal is in studio, gloves come off. (That's why we call him "Dave Controversial" in the office)

Dave said he hated seeing vans full of kids who are "obviously not from his neighborhood" being dropped off to do their trick or treating in his neighborhood.  He thinks you should trick or treat in your own neighborhood.

Many of you brought up points that some areas don't have sidewalks, so it's not safe.  Others of you said it was because there's better candy in other neighborhoods.

Meantime....from our text line (241-9696) :

Ginnie from Buffalo: I agree with the last caller, Dave needs some counseling to deal with his dislike of the city of Buffalo.

Josette / Hamburg: Wow...sounds like the dude from East Aurora was just looking for an argument...

don / marilla: Dave obviously had a troubled childhood or was not brought up correctly I live in Marella we don't get a lot of children wish we would come out to Marella we have a lot of candy for you

(unknown): Bring Keith back...Dave is an arrogant jerk. I'm a faithful listener but I'll visit another radio station while Dave fills in
*LD note: please don't leave me here alone. I need as much backup as I can get!!!*

Nydia / Amherst: I live in Amherst and my kids trick or treat in Amherst but we do get in my big van to keep them warm between houses so stop judging Dave

GINA / SOUTH BUFFALO: Ever since our house in S. Buffalo was hit with bullets after what the police called a "corner drug deal gone bad," we've gone elsewhere for everything. Trick or treating, playgrounds, I even drive elsewhere to go for a walk!

Maria / Cheektowaga: much of Lossoon Road and Borden road in Cheektowaga/West Seneca/ Depew do not have sidewalks...and Dave...you have to weigh the pros and cons of buying a house. If it has many pros but few cons and it is your dream house then you have to go with it
