If you've got packages to mail, you may want to keep a few dates in mind. FedEx says today will be the busiest shipping day in it's nearly 40 year history, while the busiest days at the  Post Office and UPS are approaching fast.

Company forecasters expect FedEx will move approximately 17 million shipments through its worldwide networks today, that's almost double it's daily average.  FedEx has hired 20-thousand seasonal employees to handle the added workload.  If you don't make it in today, FedEx will accept packages up until Friday, December 23rd for delivery on Christmas Day.  For shipping deadlines, check out the FedEx shipping guide

U.S.P.S.  is forecasting this Friday, December 16th as it's busiest day of 2011.  For shipping deadlines, check out the USPS calendar
