How a Dog Treat Can Support WNY Heroes
Townsquare Media, parent company of Mix 96, is proud to support WNY Heroes, a local non-profit organization that helps veterans and their families RIGHT HERE in Western New York.
As both a supporter of our military and an AVID dog lover, I love their newest program – "Pawsitive for Heroes", which places trained service dogs with veterans.
Here's a picture from this year's Red Cross Bash with the president and founder of WNY heroes, Chris Kreiger, his girlfriend Lynn and his faithful service companion (and my second-favorite dog) Bubba.
YOU can help great dogs like Bubba be placed with area vets too by treating your OWN dog (or one you love)!
June is PTSD Awareness Month. PTSD Ribbon Treats are now available, and a percentage of sales will go directly to the Pawsitive for Heroes program. Cash and check donations will also be accepted.
Treats will be available individually at farmers markets (East Aurora - wed/sat 7a-1p, Orchard Park Farmer's and Artisans Market - thurs 3p-7p, Williamsville & Clarence Hollow - sat 8a-1p, South Buffalo - Sun 9a-1p). They will also be available at both Wine & Wags (this Wednesday) and Dog Days of Kenmore (this Sunday). They will be made available online this evening at FetchMeATreat.com and people can call us directly and order from Jackie at 716-249-0641.
