I love signing up for daily deal websites, mostly because the savings are fantastic. But it’s also so when my friends with important jobs say things like, “Ugh, my inbox is so full!” I can say, “Mine too!”

Except lately, I’ve been noticing a slight similarity in the “personalized” deals I get every morning from Groupon -- almost as if it's delivering private insults disguised as discount savings.
