Ok, we've all heard or seen tips and tricks to defog that windshield faster, but THIS one was confirmed by SCIENCE!

It's been SO humid lately. If you wear glasses and get out of your air-conditioned car, your glasses are almost completely fogged up in seconds.

Actually, a former NASA engineer did a bunch of tests to figure out how to defog your windows TWICE as fast.  These may sound WEIRD, but it's science. Who are you to argue with science?

  1. Turn your heater all the way UP:  hot air holds more moisture than cold air, so blasting your windshield with hot air works better.
  2. Turn your A/C ON:  air conditioners PULL MOISTURE OUT of the air, so it's key.
  3. Turn your air circulation OFF:  there's usually a button with a picture of a car with a circular arrow in the middle of it...when it's ON, it recirculated air INSIDE your car.  You want it OFF because the air outside your car is colder, and as we learned from #1, cold air doesn't hold as much moisture.  Having the circulate OFF draws air IN and heats it, so it sucks up more of the moisture INSIDE your car!
  4. Crack the windows for a few seconds:  again, you're getting humid air OUT and dry air IN.

Crazy enough, he also found you can prevent your windows from fogging up in the first place by...wiping down the inside with shaving cream!
