You just spent 45 minutes shoveling and plowing your driveway only to have the section closest to the road once again become a barricade. Unfortunately, the snow must go somewhere, but, re-deposited across your driveway entrance? That can be eliminated.

Here is how to keep your driveway clear when the plow clears your street. The Missouri Department of Transportation has a simple solution to help you avoid a second round of shoveling.

When plowing and shoveling the snow, discard it about 10 feet away to the left of your driveway. This should leave enough room for a snow plow clearing your street to deposit it's excess snow into the area you've created. Give it a try and let us know if it keeps your driveway entrance clear.
