Around 500 students at the University at Buffalo were displaced after a pipe burst in the Red Jacket Quadrangle.

The University is blaming the cold weather for a frozen sprinkler system, which then caused the pipes to burst. Students were left without power and heat. University officials set up cots in Alumni Arena for the students to spend the night.

The power and heat reportedly returned to the dorms around midnight, and students were allowed to return at 7:00A.M.
