Recently I've been having to reboot my router over and over as my computer kept telling me that no internet signal could be found. So I googled 'how to get a stronger wi-fi signal' and you'd be amazed at how easy it is to get better reception. Popular Mechanics really enlightened me.

Remember that pesky Ethernet cable? You didn't toss it did you? Keep that cable ready and a clear path to your PC because you can still run one end from your internet router into your laptop.

Also you should purchase a Wi-Fi repeater which does just what it sounds like it does. It repeats your signal making it much stronger through out your home and into your yard.

Plus you can put in a powerline kit. The article says:

Installing a powerline kit in your house is essentially a cross between the two solutions we've already mentioned. It extends your original network but uses an existing wired network, namely the electrical wiring in your home.

As soon as I get home tonight, I'm digging out that Ethernet cable and plugging it in!
