We've all seen the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" in which George Bailey discovers how wonderful his life truly has been.

The holidays bring out a special feeling in folks.  It's a time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to the next year, as well as reflect on your life.  My 11-year-old son did just that the other night as I was tucking him in.

The other night, my son was snuggled in bed and he mentioned "life is going pretty good" for him right now.  I had to giggle a little when he went on to detail his checklist for a happy life:

Ryan's checklist for a happy life included three things:

1.  A roof over his head.  (Check)

2.  Food on the table.  (Check)

3.  Am I having fun?  (Check)

Ha ha, I had to laugh. I asked him about having someone who loves him, and someone to love.  He said "Oh yeah, check!"

Kids make things so simple.  You just have to love it!  What's on your checklist for a happy life?
