I was born and raised in Jamestown, and recent headlines have given the area a pretty bad rap.  If you've never been to the city, it's much more than meth labs and ugly statues.  It's rich in history, is a great place to raise a family, and is, of course, the birthplace of Lucille Ball (and me!).

A place called the "National Comedy Center" is set to open next year in Jamestown, and those behind it want to feature a comedy club that would host performances....by dead stand-up comedians....in hologram form.

They're tossing around the names Milton Berle, Bob Hope, George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield, and of course, Lucy.  Nothing is official yet, as there's been no deals mad with the comedians' estates.

The plan is that the club will feature 10-12 routines of about 4-5 minutes each, allowing patrons to "go back in time and witness a classic routine...as if they were really there".

What are your thoughts on the whole hologram thing, anyway?  Creepy or cool?
