The Billboard Music Awards were last night and it was absolutely phenomenal! Janet Jackson also accepted the Icon Award and her speech was off the hook!

Kelly Clarkson was the host of the Billboard Music Awards this year and lead the show in an emotional stricken speech about the shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas. She said,

"I'm so sick of moments of silence, it's not working, obviously. Why don't we do a moment of action?  Why don't we do a moment of change?  Why don't we change what's happening? Because it's horrible."

As the show went on Shawn Mendes and Khalid performed the song, "youth" along with a choir of survivors from the Parkland, Florida shooting. This was so emotional to see. You can see some highlights in the video below:

Janet Jackson also accepted the Icon Award last night and performed a medley of "Nasty," "If," and "Throb." She proved she still has it and looks amazing. Her acceptance speech was also quite epic.

A fantastic night in music.
