After seven hours of deliberation, a jury found Jeffrey Basil guilty of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the death of William Sager, Jr. The 12 person jury had the task of determining whether or not Basil intended to severely harm or kill Sager when he pushed him down the stairs at Molly's Pub. Jeffrey Basil was emotionless when the verdict was read, and sources say that his attitude during the trial may have influenced the jury to convict him of murder.

Basil will be sentenced on February 23rd and is facing 25 years to life in prison.
