Several months after being told he was cancer free, Jim Kelly is now battling MRSA.

Jim told the Miami Harold that he has developed MRSA, a staph infection in his bones, and will take intravenous antibiotics three times a day for the next eight weeks. Jim Kelly is scheduled to have another MRI in two weeks, and also told the Miami Harold that the pain has returned to his jaw.

MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) is a form of staph infection which is a bacteria that most commonly causes skin and tissue infections. It can be more serious in those with weakened immune systems.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Jim Kelly and his family.
