A nurse’s work is never done.  The places their influence is felt are numerous.  Schools, hospitals, doctor’s offices, homeless shelters and on the front lines, just to name a few.  Nurses touch lives every day and their compassion is only outweighed by their dedication.

At some time or another, everyone reading this has had their lives affected by a nurse.  Unfortunately, while everyone knows the names of Florence Nightingale and Clara Barton, there are millions of nurses whose daily dedication and service goes unrecognized.   Nurse’s Week was created to fix that.  Every year, from May 6th to May 12th, a spotlight shines on the nursing industry and the people that make it so great.

Joy has teamed up with WILLCARE Home Health Care to help promote Nurses Week and recognize one lucky nurse as Joy’s Nurse of the Year.  If you have a friend or relative whose job it is to care for others, we want to hear about them.  At the end of the week we will reward one local nurse with a spa certificate to Silver Essence Floating Spa, $100 gift certificate to My Tomato Pie and other goodies.

Please, submit the name of your nurse and a brief explanation of what makes them special at the link below.
