Jurassic 5 Drop Unreleased Gem “Customer Service”
Jurassic 5 is back. The group has unleashed a new track from the vaults called "Customer Service" ahead of their upcoming European tour. The song samples Edwin Birdsong's "The Spirit Of Do...Do" and showcase the funky stylings of the acclaimed group.
While "Customer Service" is being billed as Jurassic 5's first new song in a decade, that's not true. Just two years ago, the group released a track called "The Way We Do It" produced by the late Heavy D in celebration of their reunion. "Customer Service" was also recorded during the Powers in Numbers session, which means it is technically not a new song but a previously unreleased one. Power in Numbers dropped in 2002 so this track had to be recorded in the early 2000s.
A Jurassic 5 album might not be in the works just yet, but hopefully this song is a sign that the group wants to record some new material. Until then, fans will have to enjoy their live performances. Check out the list of dates for Chali 2na, Akil, Marc 7, DJ Nu-Mark and Cut Chemist's tour below.
