Dust off the Zamboni, here come the Buffalo Sabres!  The NHL and its players’ union have announced a tentative agreement that will bring the current lockout to an end.  The deal came after a marathon 16 hour bargaining session with a federal mediator.  Sources say the new deal would be for 10 years but would allow both sides to opt out after an 8 year period.  The agreement must still be approved by the National Hockey League’s Board Of Governors and the players’ union membership. If we click a pair of hockey sticks together 3 times and the lawyers give their ok, a 48 game season might get underway on January 19th.  Go Sabres!
