What a fun topic this morning....I love when you call me with your stories!

A new study compiled the most common lies parents tell young kids.  Obviously some revolve around holidays, but some of the others include "If you don't come with me now, I'll leave you here" (67.5%) and "We can come back and buy you that toy next time" (47.8%).

My mom always used "a little girl from Johnson City did that..." and followed it up with dire, unrealistic consequences.  Like when my brother and I would hang our arms out the car window while we traveled to Binghamton, she'd say, "Ya know, a little girl from Johnson City used to do that...her arm hit a truck, and it ripped off so clean and fast it didn't even bleed."

That poor little girl from Johnson City had the WORST luck.

Here's a few of the calls from you.  Whether your parents told you, or you tell your kids, share your "lies" below in the comments section! :)
