Lifehouse is set to release their seventh studio album, “Out of the Wasteland”, with tracks that are “very reminiscent” of the group’s earlier work.

Lifehouse has been producing hits since the late 1990s, with Jason Wade, Rick Woolstenhulme, Jr. and Bryce Soderberg coming together to sell over 15 million records worldwide. The group became mainstream in 2001 with the single “Hanging By a Moment”.

In July 2013, the band announced they were on a temporary hiatus. Woolstenhulme began touring with the Goo Goo Dolls, Soderberg started with a new band and Jason worked on a solo record.

Lifehouse has been working on their latest album in May 2014, releasing “Flight” in November. The album will be released in May 2015. The group adopted “a new type of hands-on mentality” and “really made the album they wanted to make” with Out of the Wasteland.

“We tried not to premeditate anything and really capture moments as they were happening,” Jason said, adding that the titles “Hurricane” and “Flight” are two favorites.

“Out of the Wasteland” is best described as a “collage, the best of what we’ve recorded over the last fifteen years”, Jason explained.
