Kuddos to the Harris Hill Volunteer Fire Company, who teamed up with Pesci's Pizza in Clarence for "Operation Special Delivery."

People who ordered food Friday night from Pesci's had it personally delivered by Clarence Hill firefighters and if all the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors inside the home were working, the pizza was FREE.

Harris Hill Capt. Mark Walter said, "Businesses like Pesci's are crucial for us to enjoy a message like this, allowing us to get out there in a unique avenue to our district really helps us reinforce the fire prevention message that we're delivering. Something as simple as a 9-volt battery can truly save somebody's life." If all the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were not working, Harris Hill replaced them for free.
