Local Leaders Push to Close Erie County Bars Earlier [VIDEO]

Some of Buffalo's leaders are renewing their push to close Erie County bars two hours earlier.

Erie County Legislator Ted Morton joined Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs and the Amherst Deputy Supervisor for a news conference at the corner of Chippewa and Franklin on Wednesday to introduce a resolution to change bar closing times from 4:00A.M. to 2:00A.M.

The proposal has is getting mixed reactions from local lawmakers and bar owners, but County Clerk Chris Jacobs says that the move is needed to improve public safety.
