Today we kicked off local restaurant week with some amazing food from Buffalo's new French restaurant Raclettes!  This Paris style restaurant has Buffalo attitude which means the food is délicieux!

Owners Paul & Sandra Wilkins were in studio and they brought a few tasty treats with them.  We were able to try a few items off of their Local Restaurant Week Dinner Menu which includes dining options for $20.17, $30.17, and $40.17.  As a starter we had the Croq Monsier, followed by the Boeuf Bourguignon.

The Croq Monsier is bruschetta with ham and gruyere cheese.  It was a nice start to the meal, and honestly, anytime you melt cheese on something I am going to love it.  Turns out a lot of people do too!

The Boeuf Bourguignon was the main course and it was magnifique!  This dish is beef braised in red wine with onions and mushrooms, served over parmesan smashed red potatoes with haricots verts.  All of that translates to a comfort food dish that hits all the right spots.

Raclettes has only been open for 1 year but has already taken home the Open Table 2016 Diners' Choice Award.  That is an impressive feat and after talking with owners Sandra and Paul I am not surprised.  They are the real deal and if you are looking for a new restaurant to check out this one needs to be on your list.  Take advantage of this week's special menu and enjoy this new local masterpiece.

If you missed our conversation Sandra about Raclettes you can hear it here.  I recommend picking up some crepes from the restaurant and enjoying them while you do!
