A 58-year-old man opened fire inside a movie theatre in Lafayette, Louisianna during a showing of Amy Schumer's "Trainwreck" on Thursday.

It was about 20 minutes into the film when the shooter stood up and opened fire into the audience. Three people are dead, including the shooter who took his own life, three with critical injuries, and seven people hospitalized. The victims range in age from late teens to their 60s.

The shooter has been identified as John Russell Houser, a white male with a criminal history that dates back several years. Authorities believe that he acted alone, but are unsure of a motive at this time.
