Maybe I've watched one too many Dr. Phil episodes, but despite my self-proclaimed "hopeless romantic" status, I just think something like this is 100% insane.

I've also done my fair share of online dating/communicating in the past.  It's REALLY easy to represent yourself one way online, while the real you (I mean the kind that you live with, eat with, breathe with every single day) hides behind the screen.

With this story, the first red flag was his name.  Sorry, dude, but it's just too similar.

Erica Harris "met" Arte Vann (his name alone stinks of fraud to me, being a Seinfeld fan) on Instagram -- her in Murietta, California, him in New York.

For a year, they communicated online via pictures, video chats, emails, etc.  All the makings of a "true" internet romance.

They finally met IRL last Friday, for the first time, at the airport.  Vann had purchased a one-way ticket.  He proposed at the airport. She said "yes"at the airport. They got married, you guessed it, at the airport.

Here's MY version of how it went:

"Hi, I just got off the plane.  We've been chatting for a while, and I've never been in the same room with you, let alone the same state.  Will you marry me?"

"Yes."

"I mean, like right now.  Marry me."

"Yep, ok.  Now we're married."

Here's how it actually went:

Would you EVER do this?  Do you believe in love at first sight?  How about love at first click?  What are your thoughts on ANY of this story?

Am I just WAY too skeptical to believe this could actually work?

Because I totally don't.  Sue me.

By the way, if YOU have a unique proposal story, share it here, and you could win a romantic dinner and overnight getaway!
