Fans of TV's Jersey Shore and Cougar Town may want to clear out some viewing time on New Year's Day. That's when cable network VH1 debuts the first of 10 scheduled episodes of Mama Drama. The show puts five moms who like to dress and hit the clubs like their late teen-early 20's daughters together in a house with those daughters, then wait for the conflict to develop.

Doesn't sound like much on paoper. But it's worked for "Shore", "The Real Housewives of...." series, and a few other shows in recent years. Show creator SallyAnn Salsano, an executive producer on "Shore", says that she has a similar relationship with her mom, except that she doesn't do shots and try to pick up guys in front of her mother [Yeah, I'm a guy, but I don't know that I'd ever be comfortable doing either of those things with either of my parents. Or watch them in that kind of activity].

As noted above, the basic formula is TV-tested, so I'm not betting against "MD". But I don't think I want to watch it, either. But that's just me. Are you interested? Or should this kind of show just disappear from the airwaves? Either way, let us know, either here or on our Facebook page.
