Man Walks Across The Country Promoting Random Acts Of Kindness In Honor of Fallen Soldiers [VIDEO]
Sorry, Forest...the bar has been raised.
A 49-year-old man named Armand Young is walking across the country, hoping to inspire 1,000,000 acts of kindness in honor of fallen soldiers and victims of 9/11.
Six years ago, he gave away everything he owned and all his money. He started walking. He carries a 6-foot pole draped with American flags and asks anyone who signs the flags to do one thing: promise to do one random act of kindness within 24 hours, in honor of fallen soldiers and victims of 9/11.
He's spent a total of 22 months walking. He made it to New York in 2010, and is now in Pennsylvania on his way back to California. He's collected 549,000 signatures so far.
Armand Young has spent 22 months walking across the country and has collected more than a half million signatures challenging people to do one act of kindness within 24 hours.
