Sad day again in the water of Lake Erie this week.

Yesterday, police got a 911 call that a man in a raft looked like he was in distress at about 8 PM on Wednesday. His body was recovered in the waters of Lake Erie near Hoaks Restaurant.

He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Robert Maccubbin, 50 years old was an avid fisherman who passed away doing what he loved. Police remind people that the waters are still still too cold and can cause hypothermia. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, family and friends.
