Mariska Hargitay Leaving “Law & Order: SVU”?

Mariska Hargitay is one of the reasons I have watched the SVU edition of the Law & Order franchise, and now it appears while she is not leaving the show, she wants to cut back the amount of time she spends on-screen so she can devote more time to her real-life duties of being a Mom.

Around mid-season, Olivia Benson will pass the baton on to a new detective — reportedly to be played by Jennifer Love Hewitt. Hmmmm, Just think, when someone dies she can talk to them (Ghost Whisperer) and close the case?
