Michael Des Barres is excited to be working on new music and on his show “Little Steven’s Underground Garage”.

He’s lived with Don Johsnon as well as Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones. He stole Jimmy Page’s girlfriend then married her, inspiring the most-read groupie bio in history. He appeared naked on a London stage in the 1960s. “Fraiser” and “Pink Cadillac” featured him. He wrote and recorded “Obsession” in 1983 (he “knows a lot about obsessive love”) and will release “The Key to the Universe” in March. Michael Des Barres has had a very diverse and star-studded career and he isn’t slowing down.

“I ain’t going anywhere,” he says. “I’m a cockroach.”

Des Barres formed and fronted Silverhead, serving as the group’s lead vocalist. He was also a member of Detective, which was signed to Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song label. His 1983 song “Obsession” was recorded by Animotion two years after he wrote it and sold millions of copies.

While Des Barres has created more than his fair share of original music, the artist says he enjoys playing other people’s music.

“It gets you out of yourself,” he says. “You hear other people’s music and it’s inspiring. And you’re being generous, you’re giving something that isn’t you all the time.”

Des Barres is also a host of the nationally syndicated “Little Steven’s Underground Garage”.
