It has been a while, but a very popular TV anchor is back on the air in Buffalo.

Yesterday, the former longtime WGRZ Channel 2 news anchor made his debut on his new station WKBW Channel 7.

Wooten left Channel 2 back in August of this year after his contract expired. He had been with WGRZ for 14 years.

The good news is that he quickly announced that he signed a new contract with WKBW and yesterday he made his on-air debut at 5:30 pm. Wooten is hosting a new 5:30 pm news program called "Voices"

Wooten's new role will see him interact with community leaders and members to tell their side of the story about local and national events.
