Today will mark the end of an era at the Niagara Falls airforce base.

After more than 40 years of flying out of the 914th Airlift Wing, four Military C-130 transport planes will depart on their final deployment.

The wing is making the switch to flying KC-135 refueling tankers as part of a new mission that will play a crucial part to the future of the air base.

Commander Brian Bowman of the 914th Airlift Wing says that today's final deployment will be an opportunity to look back on the past and focus on the future.
