I recently received a group of hand-written letters (YES! That still exists and I love it!) from 7th grade students at St. Benedict School in Amherst, asking about the music industry, radio, and if by chance we would consider broadcasting from their school!   What a treat!  The kids were thoughtful, respectful, and well-written...and we couldn't wait to go meet them!

This was our first "school" edition of the Mix Morning Rush Home Invasion.  Based on today's fun, I'm guessing we'll do it again soon...maybe from YOUR school? :)

Ms. Anne Landey is a music teacher at the pre-K - 8 school, and she encouraged the letters with an assignment to write "persuasive" letters...it worked!  Of course, being a music-class we were broadcasting in, we were also treated to some in-class Christmas entertainment!

We'd like to thank Carol Boerema, Advancement Director, and Dr. Michael LaFever, Principal, for showing us such hospitality with Tim Horton's coffee and muffins, and some of the kids for bringing in delicious sugar cookies....how did they know those are my FAVORITE?!?!? :)

Here's "Rudolph" (AKA Keith Kelly) on piano accompaniment , with me assisting on the "hand chimes" for Jingle Bells...

The 4th grade students did a LOVELY version of Silent Night, also with hand chimes....(how SWEET are their little voices???)

Here's a photo gallery with pics from the exciting morning...thanks again to ALL parents, students, faculty, and staff who let us spend a great morning with these great kids!!!
