According to wgrz.com, the pilot of Delta airlines flight 1672 from Buffalo to Atlanta decided to fly back to the Buffalo International Airport on Thursday morning after noticing a problem with one of the engines, according to a Delta airlines statement.

There were 174 customers and five crew members on board. The plane landed safely and no injuries were reported.

Emergency crews were called to the scene as a precaution, according to Cheektowaga Police.

The crew of Delta flight 1672 from Buffalo to Atlanta elected to return to Buffalo after receiving an indication in the flight deck of a possible issue with one of the aircraft's two engines. The flight landed without incident and maintenance technicians are evaluating the MD-88 aircraft. The safety of Delta's customers and crew members are always our top priority.
