National Bike To School Day

Among the many events that take place throughout the month of May (including my birthday), today is known as National Bike To School Day.

The League of American Bicyclists have declared May as National Bike Month, and as part of the month-long event, today (May 6, 2015) has been declaredNational Bike To School Day.

The event provides an opportunity for schools across the country to join together to celebrate and to build off of the energy of National Bike Month. Almost one-thousand local-events across the United States and the District of Columbia have joined together to encourage children to safely bike, or even walk, to school.
