National Police Week Is This Week

Back in 1962, President John F Kennedy signed a proclamation that would mark May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that day falls as National Police Week.

All this week, we encourage you to wear and show Blue in honor of those men and women who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Today, Erie County will honor 88 officers whose lost their lives along with the 20,000 officers nationwide who lost theirs.
