New Hotel Proposed for Lafayette Square in Buffalo

Redevelopment plans for a downtown landmark may put a hotel right in JOY FM's backyard. The 20-story Tishman Building has struggled to attract new tenants since National Fuel moved out in the early 2000's . The building is in a prime location, has beautifull views of downtown and the waterfront are ideal for what the Hamister Group has in mind for the property.

Carmina Wood Morris is responsible for the design of the $35 million project that calls for a Hilton Garden Inn, along with apartments and office space on the top floors of the building.

The lobby of the existing building was recently upgraded and will be used as the office and residential entrance. A new lobby for hotel guests featuring a garden and a semi-circular drive will be created fronting Lafayette Square.
