Yesterday we posted the story of an airline captain who bought 50 pizzas for the passengers that were stuck in his plane, on the tarmac, for over two hours. In a travel world where you barely get so much as a peanut...I'm sure this was quite a welcomed gesture!

I've never been stuck on the tarmac, but I've certainly had my fair share of delayed flights. And needless to say, it's infuriating! You're either eager to get to your vacation/work destination, or you're eager to get home. Either way, delays STINK!

Enter: the almighty dollar!

You can now buy travel insurance that PAYS YOU if your flight is delayed! It costs $25...but if you get stuck on the tarmac for more than two hours, it pays you $1,000!

If your flight is delayed (not on the tarmac), you get $50.

If you miss a connecting flight, BOOM! $500 in your pocket.

If they lose your bags, $1,000 is yours!

I don't know about you, but next time I travel, I think I may buy this! I know they usually offer to bump you to first class or give you another travel voucher, but I dig the cash option!
