Off-Duty Cheektowaga Police Officer Faces DWI Charges [VIDEO]

Cheektowaga Police arrested one of their own following an alleged incident from February 23, 2016.

Officials say that 29-year-old Nicholas Jakubowski was off-duty when his car was hit by another vehicle while turning into a parking lot on Como Park Boulevard.

Jakubowski's blood alcohol content registered at .19 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

As per the police union agreement, Nicholas was suspended with pay and will appear in court on March 9th. He also faces a lesser DWI charge and is accused of failing to yield.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered a minor injury to the foot.
