Danville Police Officer, Thomas Cottrell, was killed late last night, and now authorities in Ohio on the hunt for a murdered police officer's stolen gun and patrol car.

Authorities at the Knox County Sheriff's Department received a call from a woman stating that her ex-boyfriend had left with weapons, and was "looking to kill an officer."

Police located the body of Officer Cottrell and then arrested Herschel Jones about 90 minutes later.

At this point there's no word on whether investigators have been able to locate Cottrell's service weapon or patrol car.
