My family was in Pittsburgh recently for a hockey tournament.  We ate at a place called Max and Erma's, where my daughter discovered the Oreo Milkshake.  What a hit... and easy to make!

All you need is a blender, milk, vanilla ice cream and Oreos.  (Regular or Double Stuff, either is fine.)

Step one:  Make a vanilla milkshake!  (Place a few scoops of ice cream in the blender and add milk.  Mix until you get your desired consistency.  I usually end up playing around with this, a little more ice cream... then more milk... then more ice cream.)

Step two:  Add the Oreos.  We made two large milkshakes the other day and used 7 or 8 Oreos.  I broke each of them into 3 or 4 pieces and then dropped them in the blender.  Mix it up again.  The blender really grinds them down.  Keep going until there are no chunks, just itsy bitsy pieces of Oreo in your shake.

Step three:  Enjoy!

We've got a few people hooked on Oreo milkshakes since our return from Pittsburgh.  I'm thinking, will this work with peanut butter cups?  Snickers?  We may be on to something!

I'd love to hear what you're making the kids these days?  Anything new?  Feel free to post your recipes below!
