The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle reported on a story about a cat found taped shut in a plastic storage container. Now, PETA -an animal rights organization- is offering a $5000 reward for information leading to the charge and conviction of the person responsible.

The D&C reports "The cat, a long-haired male tabby named now named Munson, was discovered by a passer-by around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Munson and Gilbert streets. He was inside a plastic bin that had been duct-taped shut and had no holes or other means of ventilation."

The cat was otherwise in good health, and is currently in the care of the Genesee County Animal Shelter, according to the Democrat & Chronicle.
