According to The Daily News, "Details about the town of Darien amusement park’s next addition have been vague, but the documents filed as part of a site plan review show a ride that will fit well with the park’s past investments. No name is listed for the ride, which General Manager Chris Thorpe previously told county officials would open in the 2018 season."

The Buffalo News reports, "...the theme park appears to be eyeing a roller coaster that travels 44 to 62 mph with a completely vertical incline and a drop that goes beyond vertical. Darien Lake Holdings LLC has submitted plans to the Genesee County Town of Darien to demolish the Thunder Rapids log ride and construct a new ride."
