RANKINGS: The Smartest Colleges Around Buffalo [LIST]

It's not a shock that the numbers for these Buffalo-area colleges are so high, as New York has one of the best education standards and systems in the country. University at Buffalo leads the pack in many categories including Highest Test Scores, Highest Graduation Rates and Highest Retention Rates (and it's not easy to get into--claiming the third spot in lowest admission rates), according to Business First.

The 3 colleges who hold the top spots here are also the Top 3, in order for the highest graduation rates: UB at 74.4%, Houghton College at 70.9%, and Canisius at 70.8%.

*75th percentile score on the SAT, which means the students outscored 75% of all the incoming freshman.
