Plum Organics announced a voluntarily recall of its Little Crèmes organic rice milk snacks line via the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

Apparently, the snacks are a potential chocking hazard, particutlarly for children. The product is designed to soften in your mouth is under 20 seconds in order to allow easy swallowing. However, apparently, some pieces take longer and pose a potential choking hazard.

Involved in the Little Crèmes recall are: Super Purples (acai, blackberry & purple carrot), Super Reds (pomegranate, beet & berry) and Super Greens (kale, apple & sweet potato).

  • Baby Little Crèmes Sweet Potato Kale Apple, 8 ct, Item Number: 1559, UPC: 846675000330, Case UPC: 846675001559, Dated: 05AUG14 to BB 12AUG15;
  • Baby Little Crèmes Blackberry Acai, 8 ct, Item Number: 1542, UPC: 846675000347, Case UPC: 846675001542; Dated: 05AUG14 to BB 12AUG15;
  • Baby Little Crèmes Beet Berry Pomegranate, 8 ct, Item Number: 1535, UPC: 846675000323, Case UPC: 846675001535, Dated: 05AUG14 to BB 12AUG15.

The recalled products were shipped nationwide to grocery, mass, specialty and online retailers. No other Plum Organics products are affected.
