RECIPE: Broiled Pears
Pears are everywhere you look. You can purchase just one or a bushel. Summer time is all about fruit and the fun food ideas you can do with them. Purchase canned pears during the colder months.
- Preheat the broiler.
- Arrange pear halves, cut-side up in a shallow baking dish. In a small dish, stir together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans. Sprinkle the mixture over the pears.
- Broil 3 inches from heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the topping is browned. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Garnish with a cinnamon stick
